Rogue Swan Theatre Company presents: Cabaret
In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret.
Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.
Shows are Fridays, September 18th & 25th and Saturdays, September 19th & 26th at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm and shows start at 8pm.
There will be an additional “Pay What You Can” show on Saturday September 26th at 2pm.
Rogue Swan is a 501(C)3 nonprofit with a troupe of players who specializes in modernizing Vaudevilles. Most recently they performed a Halloween Vaudeville, Something Wicked, at the STAR Centre as well as Sweeney Todd at the STAR Centre.
Content warning: This is a gritty, raw show that does not shy away from the sexual decadence and freedom clashing with the ideology of the Third Reich.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as snacks will be available to purchase.
