STAR Summer Camps: Barbie World Camp (Grades 6-12)

BARBIE & KEN HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERY DAY!!! Look at the fun we have in store for your “Barbies” & “Kens” who spend a week in Barbie World!
Day 1: Floral Design – Each camper will discover why floral design is significant to them, getting in touch with the sense of joy that the process can bring. They will learn the principles of design, how to identify types of flowers, and color theory and will design and bring home a small bouquet!
Day 2: Healthy Living, Healthy Mind: Campers will be led in meditations, yoga practices, and journaling exercises and will learn about topics like stress management, quality sleep, social media literacy, gentle nutrition, and more!
Day 3: Introduction to Aikido: AIKIDO is a traditional Japanese martial art that focuses on movement, balance, and teamwork! Students will work closely with one another under instruction to learn introductory movements and maneuvers in a safe environment that can ready them for other martial arts classes and self-defense learning!
Day 4: Broadway Jazz: The story and emotional content of a musical are not only communicated through words, music, and technical aspects, but through movement and dance. Broadway Jazz introduces students to theatrical style dance reminiscent of Tony Award winning choreographers!
Day 5: Photography: Campers will learn how to take better photos using the elements of design. This day will be a BLAST with photo scavenger hunts, DIY backdrop creation, and more!
**Since cameras are all different, we ask your child comes into camp with a basic understanding of how to use their camera.
